The New MDS Website

Greetings Siblings:

This website is an experiment in building a democratic online community of activists. Movement for a Democratic Society (MDS) and the newMDS.org site are dedicated to supporting the goals and visions of The Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). Your participation and contributions are essential for our mutual success.

Please register, a password will be sent to your email, then Log In. Once on the site, please Vote! or at least comment on a vote if it doesn't make sense, or the options don't represent your thinking. We need to work through the mechanics of these processes and it's easier to do on simple polls like these (though the authentication poll does have some import). So, even though you might not have a particular interest in the poll - Vote anyway! It's a democracy, get used to it.

The Recent Posts link is a quick way to see what's new on the site. Please contribute or comment on a Forum, or create a poll of your own even! Start your own Blog! Be sure to complete your User profile. If you have a picture but don't know how to resize it or whatever, mail it to me. Any suggestions for better "where we are" selections?

This website is built on Open Source software called DRUPAL. If you have the desire or skills ( in that order) to help with the site, please contact the Web Manager.

All and all, I'm thrilled to be working with this software for this group, but I'm a right livelihood kind of geek like that. This technology has the potential to enable real grassroots democracy on the planet.
